Experienced fencers must wear breeches. British Fencing make the rules and strongly recommend breeches for all weapons.

Yes! Members may borrow club kit but make sure you return it at the end of the session!
If you find broken kit, please mark it with the roll of yellow tape (in the cage) so we know what needs to be fixed.

No, you needn't be affiliated with the university. Though the vast majority of our members are Cambridge students, we welcome anyone with a passion for fencing.

Ask the appropriate team captain. We have four teams: Men’s and Women’s Blues and Men’s and Women’s Seconds. Team selection happens within the first few weeks of Michaelmas term. Register your interest with the appropriate team captain (team captains can be contacted here) and attend training sessions to show off your skills.

No, you needn’t be on a team. Any member of the club can proudly wear our stash.
CUFC socks and patches are available to buy on our website here. Other stash items from third-party merchants are available at certain points throughout the year. Keep an eye out for the links to these on our mailing lists!
